Sports massage has been used amongst athletes and warriors for thousands of years. In ancient Greece athletes used massage before, during and after competing, whilst the Romans recognised the benefits for injured Gladiators. Sports massage techniques continued to be developed through the 1950s and 1960s by the Russians and East Germans and have now become mainstream.

Many elite athletes use sports massage to help them and it is now affordable and beneficial for the normal club athlete, from runners with tight, aching muscles, Tennis players with shoulder problems or as part of rehabilitation from minor injury. Pre, Post Event & Preventative treatments help reduce your risk of injury no matter what level you practise at.

Sports massage generally involves manual manipulation of the muscles and limbs. Due to the nature of the deep muscle tissue manipulation, it can be quite uncomfortable at first, but your body will respond as muscle stiffness reduces and flexibility increases.
